How McKinney Agents Can Turn One Listing Shoot Into Two Weeks of Social Content
Most listings get one social post: a carousel with "Just Listed" across the first image. Then the account goes quiet until the next one. Meanwhile, the media from that shoot could support a full two weeks of content.
Here is a plan McKinney agents can use with photos, video, drone images, and a vertical reel from a single appointment.
Before the shoot: plan for social
A little planning makes the content far more useful.
Add a vertical social reel to the listing shoot so footage is captured for a 9:16 format, not just cropped from a horizontal video.
Ask for drone coverage if the lot, neighborhood amenities, or location near open space is part of the story.
Note two or three features you want to talk about on camera.
Get the seller's permission for how the home will be shown on social media.
Week one: launch
Day 1: The reel. Post the vertical reel with a caption that leads with the home's main idea, not the price.
Day 2: The carousel. Eight to ten photos in tour order. Use the first slide to show the strongest room or the exterior.
Day 3: The neighborhood. A drone photo or short aerial clip with a few sentences about the area. Keep claims accurate: parks, trails, and distances should be verified.
Day 4: One room, one detail. A single strong image, such as the kitchen, with a caption about why buyers care about that space.
Day 5: Behind the scenes. Stories showing the shoot preparation or the photographer at work. It shows sellers your process.
Week two: keep interest going
Day 8: Open house or showing invitation. Reuse a photo with clear logistics.
Day 9: Layout post. Share the floor plan and explain who the layout suits, such as a downstairs primary or dedicated office.
Day 10: Agent on camera. A short walkthrough clip from you. If you booked the Agent On-Camera upgrade with the listing video, you already have it.
Day 11: Question post. "What would you use the bonus room for?" Conversation posts invite replies and sends.
Day 12: Twilight or exterior feature. An evening image or outdoor living photo gives the listing a second first impression.
Day 13–14: Status update. Under contract, price update, or a thank-you to everyone who toured.
Rules that keep it working
Do not repeat the same image as the lead of multiple posts.
Write a new caption each time. Each post should say something new.
Tag the location and name McKinney in the caption.
Respect privacy. Avoid showing personal items, security systems, or anything the seller would not want public.
Credit the media properly and follow your license terms for listing media use.
When the plan becomes the job
Two weeks of posts per listing is a lot to manage alongside clients. Future Listing Media offers social media management for real estate agents: planning, filming, editing, captions, and publishing, with your approval on every post.
For the listing itself, book photography, video, and drone in one appointment in McKinney. Book your shoot.
